The author is missing a good 1/2 of the federal budget; the growing entitlement mess of medicare/medicaid/social security. Any argument about fiscal well being that totally ignores those three is not an actual argument; it’s more of a peace movement. With regards to the Bush 2001/2003 tax cuts, one does not Tax their way out of a recession.
