A Letter to America: Why Must the Show Go On? | Palestine Think Tank

I love pages like this. The entitlement mentality weaves its way throughout, like the world owes this single person a perfect life just for being born.

Not a “Patriot” nor doing anything beyond the pale, yet expects the riches of society. I truly fear that this thinking will destroy this country by voting themselves largesse from the treasury, i.e. Obama’s grand new “middle class tax cuts”, pure Marxist-redistributionist Welfare, just hidden by a different name. But as an ex-patriot, you get all the benefits of being a US citizen, but none of the tax burden. Enjoy that $80,000 a year exemption, you earned it!

You’re owed for going to college? Please, tell that to your fellow world citizens, especially those in poverty stricken parts of the world, and ask them if they’d like the same chance you had and what they would do for that chance. It’s not our fault you went to a college and got a crappy liberal arts degree.

Might makes right, unfortunately. Those in Palestine learn this very early in their youth.

Why the US is the most important? Money, really. When being “poor” in the United States means you have Electricty, Running Water, a bathroom, air conditioning, a TV and cable, and more, who in the 3rd world would really call that “poor?”

Oh, and the rant against the Electoral College. The EC is there to prevent against populism. Otherwise we’d get Porn Stars as Presidents. Robert Heinlein wrote about this in his story “If This Goes On–”. I’d imagine most folks would be afraid that if you look at the US, 79.8% people consider themselves Christian… What if those folks all decided, under a Populist system in which a pure popular vote decides the election, to elect, say, Rick Warren (he of the Saddleback debate) as president… 79% means that the majority rules, right? I guess you’d consider it different were they parading their CAIR- appointed Imam around.

I find it quite funny that coming upon 1984, everyone was sure it was the Republicans and Ronald Regan that would push the world state and newspeak, but 24 years later, we find it’s the liberals that may succeed. Woe be unto us!
